Lot Essay

The painting was dedicated to Liu Shukun and his wife Madame Peirong. Liu was a famous doctor in Beijing Tongren Hospital before 1949. He was very fond of collecting paintings and was friends with many artists. The painting was gifted to him by Yu Fei'an, as a token of friendship.
