Lot Essay

This painting was dedicated to Rong Shoushi (1903-1996), who later inscribed and dedicated the painting to his friend, Chen Xinliao, whose collection of paintings was auctioned in Fine Chinese Modern Paintings on 26 November 2013 (Lots 1709-1717) at Christie's Hong Kong.
