AN IMPORTANT RUBY AND DIAMOND RING, BY BULGARI
Set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing approximately 13.85 carats, to the vari-cut diamond gallery and shoulders, mounted in 20k gold, ring size 5¾
Signed Bulgari
Accompanied by report no. 76392 dated 23 September 2014 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the 13.85 carat ruby is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the ruby possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The ruby exhibits a remarkable size and weight combined with an outstanding purity and an attractive and well-saturated colour. The few inclusions found by microscopic inspection are consistent with those found in rubies from the Mogok valley in Burma (Myanmar), well known for its wealth in gems since historic times. Its attractive and subtle purplish red colour is due to a combination of well-balanced trace elements in this gemstone, characteristics for the rubies from Burma (Myanmar). In addition to these qualities, this ruby has been spared exposure to heat treatment and its colour and purity are thus all natural. A natural ruby from Burma of this size and quality is very rare and exceptional

Also accompanied by report no. GRS2013-033779 dated 15 March 2013 from the Gem Research Swiss Lab stating that the 13.85 carat ruby is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indication of thermal treatment
