An Art Deco silver and gold, diamond and gem-set vanity case and lighter, by Ostertag
The case of rectangular form with reeded decoration and polished top and base, the front applied with a ruby and diamond-set floral motif, hinged rectangular compartment with cabochon ruby accents to the top containing a watch with rectangular-shaped nickel-finished lever movement, silvered dial, Arabic numerals, a sliding compartment to the top containing a lighter, opening a hinged lid to reveal the cigarette compartment, a sliding compartment to the base containing a lipstick holder, opening a hinged lid to reveal a mirror and a powder compartment, circa 1930, 8.3cm long; together with a tri-colour lighter of geometric reeded design, with rectangular cabochon sapphire top and base, two sapphires deficient, 4.5cm long
