A NEAR PAIR OF BRASS-MOUNTED WALNUT HALL STOOLS
BY JAMES SHOOLBRED, LATE 19TH CENTURY
Each with pierced baluster toprail between reeded downswept arms, the sides with roundels centred by flowered medallions, on reeded shaped legs joined by reeded stretchers, one stamped JAs SHOOLBRED & CO. and numbered 3817 between two kite marks, almost certainly for December 1883, the other with two kite marks for the same date
23 ¾ in. (60 cm.) high; 21 ¾ in. (55 cm.) wide
