Lot Essay

The present watch was made to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the celebrated Santos model in 2004

With Cartier pouch.

Crafted by Louis Cartier in 1904, the Santos collection was designed in order to meet the demand of renowned Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont. Through its bezel secured by eight screws and curved angles, the Santos quickly became a classic. Redesigned for the 100th anniversary of the model, the two present timepieces can be considered as must-have for Cartier enthusiasts.
