Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated 26 January 2011, additional case back, setting pin, product literature, leather wallet, slip case, presentation box and outer packaging.

Reference 5951P was launched at Baselworld fair in 2010. Realized only with a platinum case, the following is equipped with the CHR 27-525 PS caliber, the thinnest column - wheel - controlled split-seconds chronograph movement ever crafted by Patek Philippe.

The case looks straight back to the Art Deco period with its tonneau-shape and especially with the monopusher chronograph activation. The bi-color dial with the combination of red chronograph hands make this reference less classic and in some ways less Patek Philippe style but more sporty and contemporary and at the end they give a really attractive look at the whole watch.

We are delighted to offer such a rare reference and in pristine condition to our public, for the first time at Christies's saleroom, and especially to the finest Patek Philippe collectors.
