The present reference 1675 is an exceedingly rare example of a Rolex GMT-Master model made for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, featuring his signature and the UAE crest. Preserved in exceptional original overall condition, its dial stands out by the evenly discoloured luminous material to numerals and hands, displaying a most charismatic cream-coloured tone, all enhanced by the very crisp "Quraysh Hawk" and signature of His Highness Sheikh Al Maktoum. Noteworthy also is the printing of the different 'padded layers' of the crest, creating a tri-dimensional effect.
The case has evidently only ever so slightly been polished and impresses with its full case proportions and the very well defined fluting to the lugs. The beautifully bleached bezel rounds up the overall appeal of this superb wristwatch.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (born 15 July 1949) is the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and constitutional monarch of Dubai.
