Cal. 3035 nickel-finished lever movement, 27 jewels, black matte dial, luminous dot, baton and dagger numerals, luminous Mercedes hands, sweep centre seconds, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, revolving black bezel calibrated for 60 units, screw back, screw down crown, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

With Rolex Garantie et Attestation de Chronomètre Officiel dated July 1983 and fitted green presentation box.

Reference 16800 was launched in 1982 and introduced the quick-set date. The depth rating was increased to 1000 ft (300 m). The present watch is from the early series, still featuring the black matte dial and without the white gold frames around the luminous numerals. It is furthermore preserved in very good, original overall condition.
