The present watch is number 140 of a limited edition of 250 pieces produced in 1988. Andy Warhol was the first artist to design a watch for Movado's "Artist's Collection" that invited both established and promising artists to design inspirational wristwatches. Released shortly after his death, the "Times/5" represents Warhol's first watch design and also one of his last works.
Andy Warhol (1928-1988), America's famous Pop artist, was hardly ever without a camera. Understanding this fascination with photography, multiple images and New York City, it is not surprising that the Andy Warhol Times/5 model he created for the Movado Artists' Series incorporated all three topics.
