Consigned by the original owner the present timepiece is a fine example of the celebrated Cosmograph Daytona reference 6263, preserved in very good original overall condition. The present rare watch is further accompanied by its original guarantee and box which are treasures themselves for the purist collector.

Reference 6263 was introduced into the market in the early 1970s and was available in stainless steel, 14K and 18K gold. The model was fitted with the "Oyster" or "screw down" chronograph buttons and a bezel with black plastic insert, the tachymetre scale printed in white.

Different versions of the model are described and illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 328 - 335.
