Lot Essay

The recipient of this painting was Guan Yousheng (1906-1970). Guan was born in Jinan, Shandong. A graduate of Shandong University, he later devoted his life in teaching, started from founding the Qi Lu Painting Society, and later taught at Shandong University of Arts.
