Oblong with sloping curved top decorated with the figure of a horse, inside of cover in blue enamel with motto 'Honni soit, qui mal y pense', front painted with a half dressed female figure carrying a tray of apples with banner inscribed ' qui veut ses pommes', the reverse depicting a bare-breasted female figure in an interior scene with a classical sculpture, the sides decorated in blue enamel with horse shoe, whip and bridle motifs, circa 1895, 5,1cm high, cased by Tessier, London
