Lot Essay

The word abstract is not adequate. The word expressionist isn’t either…I would discover the world of phenomena through Goethe’s color theory and through the writings of Immanuel Kant. The world of phenomena to me means that constant involvement with the ever-changing…I think that most artists go through periods of discover/confirm, discover/confirm. Then they go through a period of destruction in order to purify.’ (I.
