Lot Essay

Beautifully drawn in pencil, a ballerina balances finely on her point, in Raymonda is loved and respected by everyone because of her merry and carefree spirit, glancing over one shoulder. Adorned with glitter, her tutu finishes the drawing with a flare of red. Based on images clipped from magazines, Kilimnik has realised an intimate drawing, in keeping with the early drawings of Andy Warhol.
