Lot Essay

Manoir d’Angoussart, Bierges, Belgium is a set of the architectural drawings from 1979 proposed for a twenty-acre estate in Belgium. The house and garden were conceived as a single entity, exemplary of Emilio Ambasz’s concept of “The Green Over the Gray”. The drawings were included in Ambasz’s exhibition with Steven Holl at the Museum of Modern Art in 1989.
