Introduced around 1988, it featured the calibre 3000, which was upgraded to calibre 3130 in 1998 (and the reference of the watch became 14060M, for modified). From 2008 all the movements mounted on this reference are COSC certified, as reported on the dials. In 2011 Rolex launched the new submariner reference 114060, thus marking the end of this model.
