Lot Essay

Accompanied by an OMEGA Extract from the Archives confirming delivery of the present watch in 1962 to Germany.

The reference 2998-62 was the final version of the reference 2998 made. It served as the transition to the 105002-62 SC. The overall condition of this example is extraordinary, with the lume in the original 'alpha' hands and dial a rich color.

An example of the reference 2998 is illustrated and described in OMEGA, A Journey Through Time by Marco Richon, 2007, p. 596.
