Accompanied by an OMEGA Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with grey and orange "Exotic/Racing" dial on 26 June 1970 its subsequent delivery to Mexico.
Racing models are those watches that OMEGA produced to include special components. The 1960s and 1970s produced very few of these models, in at least three different versions. The first version had a black 'Pre-Professional' dial with applied metal Ω logo, the minutes scale is half red and half white, with red hands for hours and minutes and white hands for the chronograph function. The second version features a black dial with a painted white Ω logo, smaller subdials, and the same hand color configuration as the first version. The present watch is part of the the final version, which is a bigger departure from the first and second versions. Unusually, it features a grey dial with orange and white markers. In addition, the Ω logo is painted orange as opposed to white or in applied metal and the hands are white for hours and minutes with orange hands for the chronograph function.
The present watch with its unusual and striking color configuration inspired a later limited series produced in 2004 for the Japanese market and furthermore is delivered in excellent condition.
