With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1978 and its subsequent sale on 6 December 1979.

Reference 3748 was in production from 1976 until 1994 and was one of Patek Philippe's most popular model, staying in production for 18 years. This is the first time that an example with such a dial combination appears at auction.
