With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1955 and its subsequent sale on 30 July 1955.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch is fresh to the market.

Patek Philippe produced reference 1578 from 1943 until approximately 1965. The model was made in yellow, white and pink gold with both subsidiary seconds and center seconds like the present watch.
