Lot Essay

Emile Müller founded a small ceramics works at Ivry near Paris in 1854. Art the turn of the century the factory was particularly noted for its production of architectural elements and garden objects and statuary. Amongst the artists whose work was translated by the manufacotry were Philippe Wolfers, Eugène Grasset, Louis Chalon, Toulouse-Lautrec, Charpentier, Fix-Masseau and Gérome.
