Lot Essay

This sculpture is one of a few silver casts of works by Moore that were made by Hans Hansen, Kolding, Denmark. Hans Hansen also made silver editions of two other works by Moore, Seated Figure: Thin Head, 1980 (Bowness 917), and Butterfly, 1981 (Bowness 702). Bronze editions of all three sculptures also exist.
