A RARE RED GAUZE LADY'S INFORMAL SUMMER COURT ROBE
MID-19TH CENTURY
The gauze robe is finely woven with medallions of crane, butterfly, and peony in shades of white, blue, red, pink, purple and green, above a wide lishui stripe tossed with auspicious emblems. The sleeves are decorated with similar motifs.
