MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
Buddha sits in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with his hands in bhumisparshamudra. He is garbed in flowing robes draped over both shoulders, and the face is held in a serene expression, and surmounted by a prominent ushnisha. The Buddha's skin has been picked out in gold leaf, and the robes and lotus-base have been applied with polychromy.
