A LARGE BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
17TH CENTURY
The bombé body is raised on three sturdy cabriole legs issuing from lion masks and is decorated around the waisted neck with a frieze of leiwen pattern, flanked by a pair of upright S-curved handles. The domed cover is surmounted by a figure of Budai leaning on a cloth bag, with a hollow, globular jar before him.
