A LARGE PAINTED ENAMEL BASIN
18TH CENTURY
The basin is brightly painted in the center of the interior with ladies and children amongst elaborate pavilions in a garden by a lotus pond, and the well with dragons and carp leaping from cresting waves, below shaped cartouches enclosing fruiting and flowering sprays reserved on a ground of floral scrolls on the flat, petal-barbed rim. The exterior and base are decorated with stylized kui dragon scrolls.
