Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Omega, the present watch was delivered on 9 November 1956 to Brazil.

This very elegant and early iteration of the Omega Seamaster Calendar is distinguished by its pink gold case and attractive engine-turned dial. It impresses the most spoiled of the collectors with its astounding condition: both case and dial appear to be untouched and virtually unused, with no signs of wear and crisp details, including the finely engraved "Seamaster Waterproof" designation on the case back.

Two versions of this model, in 18K yellow gold and in stainless steel, are illustrated and described in Omega. A Journey Through Time by Marco Richon, p. 279
