Distilled 1966, sherry cask matured for 50 years, bottled 25th May 2016, at cask strength, only 100 numbered bottles released
In presentation box, along with a 50ml tasting sample, wooden presentation cabinet included separately, a bespoke gold stopper made by silversmith Richard Fox, and leather bound The Glenlivet book. This bottle is a unique bottle which is not commercially available, as it is The Glenlivet’s Master Distiller, Alan Winchester’s personal bottle, as such it is unnumbered, and includes Alan Winchester’s signature.
This lot also includes the opportunity to travel to Scotland as a guest of The Glenlivet and spend time at The Glenlivet distillery with the Master Distiller, Alan Winchester, to look at the selection of casks which are laid down in 2016, one of which will be bottled in 2066 at a minimum of 50 Years of age. The buyer of the lot will receive the certificate of ownership for this second bottle, which will be redeemable by the buyer or another person elected by the buyer in 50 years’ time.
