Lot Essay

The present UR-210 wristwatch is number 6 of the limited edition of only 35 examples of this model, launched in 2012.

The UR-210’s satellite complication with retrograde minute is both highly original and totally explosive. It also features a world-first complication that indicates winding efficiency over the last two hours. The indicator is located in the upper left corner, when resting, the hand will point towards the red zone, but when moving energetically it will switch to green, indicating that the watch is provided with new energy. This allows the wearer to adjust the watch accordingly via the winding efficiency selector on the back, setting it to ‘full’, ‘reduced’ (engaging a rotor dampening system to avoid unnecessary wear on the mechanism) and ‘stop’ to run the watch purely off reserve power.
