Lot Essay

Consigned by its original owner the present watch has never been offered in public before. It is preserved in superb, almost unworn condition, the gold case now exhibiting the deep and rich patina that is so desirable to collectors. Its movement number 1’959’030 indicates that it is among the earliest examples of the model, made in the first year of production of the reference.

Reference 5015
Reference 5015 was in production from 1994 until around 1999, with "Officier" style case and hobnail bezel. It is the only reference by Patek Philippe to have such “age of the moon” dial. The model was available in all three gold colours and in platinum.
