Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Omega the present watch was manufactured in 1969.

This watch is an extremely rare and well preserved example of the collaboration between Omega and jeweller Andrew Grima. While movement and case back are realized by Omega, the bezel and case detail were designed by the English jeweller inspired by the mineral thematic. It is distinguished by its highly unusual and typical 1970's design.

The Omega-Grima Jeux d'Or model is illustrated in Omega A Journey Through Time, by Marco Richon, p. 732
