Lot Essay

The present is an unusual and highly attractive example of a watch supplied by Rolex to one of the firm’s prestigious retailer, in this instance possibly Carl Bucherer, who fitted it into the bracelet. The finely made and precious stone set cover resembling an orchid and the gold bracelet are typical style elements of the 1950s.
