MOVEMENT: manual, lever escapement, 23 jewels, minute repeating on two hammers on two gongs
DIAL: white enamel, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued steel spade hands
CASE: 18K gold, band decorated with royal blue champlevé enamel repeated pattern, front cover painted on enamel with a scene of a couple in 18th century costume, translucent royal blue guilloché enamel border, outer pearl-set border, back cover decorated to match with a portrait of a young lady, hinged gold cuvette engraved with the technical details, repeating slide in the band, 39 mm. diam.
SIGNED: cuvette signed and numbered, case numbered

Armand Schwob & Frère, La Chaux-de-Fonds, was founded on 1 November 1881. The company specialized in the manufacture of watches with own workshop in La Chaux de Fonds. The owners of the firm were Armand and Abraham Schwob originally from Basle, Switzerland.
