This exquisite and very elegant jewelled pendant watch is a wonderful example of Belle Epoque style from the golden period of luxury at the beginning of the 20th century, still as wearable and glamourous today as it was over a hundred years ago. Fine enamel work was particularly in vogue at the time, all the great jewellery and watch houses producing pieces inspired by the Russian jeweller Fabergé. The use of platinum was a very modern idea introduced by Cartier and Boucheron which soon caught on, platinum when combined with diamonds and enamel creates a scintillating effect, add the name of Patek Philippe and the piece becomes truly special and of course highly desirable.
