Lot Essay

The elegant and understated aesthetics of reference 3483 make it a timeless and extremely wearable timepiece. It is powered by calibre 27 SC, universally considered one of the most lavishly finished and reliable centre second movements of the time.

Fresh to the market the present reference 3483 is believed to be one of less than 15 examples of this rare reference to have appeared in public to date.

Reference 3483
Reference 3483 was launched in 1963 and remained in production until around 1965. The model was made in a very small series and exclusively in water-resistant-type stainless steel case with screw back, white gold “Calatrava” crown and the celebrated calibre 27 SC with centre seconds.

Calibre 27 SC is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 203.
