ACCOMPANIED BY: Patek Philippe certificate of origin stamped Salvadori, Vicenza and dated 16 January 1987, product literature, Patek Philippe fitted presentation box. Furthermore delivered with a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the production of the present watch in 1982 with a black matte dial, applied white gold indexes, tritium and its subsequent sale on 3 March 1983

Lot Essay

Reference 3800/1 was available from 1981 to 2006 and is a mid-size watch with a diameter of 37.5 mm. The reference features three different Patek Philippe in-house calibers as explained below. It was available in steel, steel and gold, yellow, pink and white gold and platinum. The present watch, fresh to the market, is from the first generation of the reference.

- 1st Series until 1988: calibre 335SC starting with approximately movement no. 1’420’000, featuring 28’800 oscillations per minute, 3,35 mm thickness, 29 jewels, note the squeleton Cataltrava cross on the rotor which is specific to this 1st serie calibre

- 2nd Series until 1992: calibre 335SC featuring an improved date corrector system starting with approximately movement no. 1’426’600, 28’800 oscillations per minute, 3,35 mm thickness, 29 jewels

- 3rd Series until 1997: calibre 330 134 (330 SC) starting with approximately movement no. 1’930’000, 28’800 oscillations per minute, 3,35 mm thickness, 29 jewels

- 4th Series until 2006: calibre 330 194 (330 SC) starting with approximately movement no. 3’020’000, 21’600 oscilliations per minute, 3,35 mm thickness, only the first pieces produced featured 29 jewels, most of them counted 30 jewels
