Inscribed and signed by Zhang Daqian, Zhang Shanzi, Huang Binhong, Qian Huafo and other artists, each with one seal
Dated fourth month, jisi year (1929)
Dedicated to Hayashi Genzaburo
NOTE:
The recipient of this painting was Hayashi Genzaburo, who worked in Shanghai Dongya Tongwen Institute (Toa Doubunshoin), an institute established by the Japanese in 1901. At the end of World War II, the university faced closure. Its spiritual successor, Aichi University, was established by staff and students who had previously been based at the university.
