DIAL: Silvered, applied baton numerals, four subsidiary dials for moon phases combined with 30 minute register, day combined with constant seconds, month combined with 12 hour register and date, aperture for four digit year display
CASE: Platinum, snap on back, screw down crown, three round split second chronograph buttons in the band, hinged hooded lugs, 39 mm. diam.

The IWC Da Vinci Rattrapante was launched in 1995 to commemorate the automatic Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph model's 10th year anniversary. Its split-seconds hand, which is used to record intermediate times, is also the watch’s tenth hand.
