LTD., BOMBAY & POONA, MOVEMENT SIGNED LECOULTRE, NO. 2430, CIRCA 1895 MOVEMENT: Manual, LeCoultre Cal. 19/20RVS, fully jewelled, minute repeating on two hammers DIAL: Gilt background, small white enamel, Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, surrounded by raised polychrome enamel cherubs, when repeating is activated the cherub to the left holding a triangle is raised up a second seated cherub strikes the hours and quarters on the triangle while a seated cherub to the right also strikes the quarters as well as the minutes, all in unison with the repeating, when the repeating is over the cherub to the left moves back down CASE: 18k gold, hinged gold cuvette, repeating slide in the band, 54 mm. diam. SIGNED: Case and cuvette numbered 2430, dial signed Marcks & Co. Ltd., Bombay & Poona, movement signed LeCoulte underneath one of the hammers ACCOMPANIED BY: Jaeger-LeCoultre Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present minute repeating Jaquemart watch circa 1895.
