A POLYCHROME LACQUERED BRONZE 'LIONS' CENSER
QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The censer is cast as three playful lion cubs with ferocious facial features and scrolling mane, with their long curling tails well defined. One of the lion's head is cast separately, as a cover. The details are further picked out in lacquer of various colours.
