Ces deux paires de photophores (lots 17 et 18) sont réalisées sur mesure : Monsieur de Givenchy a acheté quatre verrines lors d’un séjour à Rome et à son retour, demande à Diego d’en concevoir les montures.

These two pairs of candleholders (lots 17 and 18) were custom made: Monsieur de Givenchy had bought some Italian glass hurricane lanterns on a visit to Rome and upon is return, asked Diego to design their mounts.
