This work is included in the Françoise Gilot Archives under no. G.1284.

Charrat and Castelli at the Theatre is a portrait of the dancer Jeanine Charrat, pictured with the choreographer Bertrand Castelli, while he holds a mirror for her to put on some make-up, before going on stage. The drawing was executed by Françoise Gilot in June 1954, when she created the set design for their ballet Hérakles.
