Lot Essay

Purchased by the present owner at Wempe in Stuttgart in 2008, the present white gold reference 5970 has never before been offered in public and comes with all the original paperwork and accessories.

Few complicated wristwatches, not just by Patek Philippe, so wonderfully combine a classic, nearly vintage look with the advantage of being contemporary and consequently so wonderful practical for daily wear. The white gold version of reference 5970 has gained worldwide popularity thanks to its hard-to-beat looks. In fact, its grey dial, the dark markers with a subtle brownish hue and the case colour are in perfect harmony, striking but always discreet.
