Lot Essay

Produced for a short period of time during the 1950s, reference 6305 was cased principally in yellow gold. A few examples are known in pink and white gold as well as in stainless steel. The present watch is one of these rare pink gold examples featuring the date in red. When the most usual date variation is known as roulette-style with alternative black and red dates, the present piece features a red-only date display. The combination of this unusual date display in a pink gold case is obviously leading this reference 6305 nickname to be The Red 6305. This stylish watch is furthermore enhanced by the attractive dial showing a very subtle and consistent patina bringing out the vintage style of the 50's and raisinf it to a very desirable timepiece.
