Shaped as a tapering paper knife, with matt yellow gold blade, the twisted gold handle set with a spinning bloodstone and sardonyx seal, engraved with a cypher 'MH' beneath an Imperial Belgian crown for Marie-Henriette, Queen Consort of Belgium (1836-1902), marked on blade; in the original silk and velvet-lined leather case stamped in Russian 'K.E. Bolin’ beneath the Imperial warrant
