Lot Essay

While originally devised as a sport watch, and thus made in stainless steel, the success of the Nautilus prompted Patek Philippe to realize versions in precious metal as well. The present watch is indeed the precious metal evolution of the Nautilus chronograph. The warm tone of the pink gold combined with the stainless steel case is masterfully balanced by the blue ribbed dial, resulting in an epitome of sporty elegance.
