Lot Essay

Rolex is known for making watches for various organizations including military and scientific communities. This particular 6239 was made for the Fuerza Aerea del Peru (FAP), the Peruvian Air Force. The FAP only received a small number of these watches that were issued to pilots and high officials, making them extremely rare and collectable. These watches are distinguished by the, "FUERZA AEREA DEL PERU" engraving on the case back.
