According to the Archives of Omega, the present watch was produced on 5th December 1946 and delivered to Portugal.
This extremely attractive and rare example of the reference OT 2366 gold wrist chronometer is preserved in superb condition with beautiful silvered zoned dial with gold Roman numerals and indexes. The case with clear hallmarks was made for Omega by Antoine Gerlach in Geneva, his mark of a number 4 within a key is punched inside the back of the case. Gerlach is most well-known for producing some of Patek Philippe’s finest watch cases.
The reference 2366 was designed by René Bannwart, the head of Omega’s creation department from 1940 to 1955 and contains the caliber 30 T2 RG movement – Omega’s first red gilt movement introduced in 1943.
