Lot Essay

Universal Genève produced the Tri-Compax from the 1940s through the 1960s. The Tri-Compax watches came in a variety of sizes and styles but each model presented the following three complications: chronograph, triple calendar and moon phase. The name “Tri-Compax” was given after these three functions.
With a very well preserved case, the present example of a “Tri-Compax” chronograph wristwatch retains its original proportions, polished and brushed finishes, which are usually lost throughout the years due to polishing.
